Close to the church was planned the monastery, in which Antonia, an important member of the family, used to to collect her thoughts in prayer.
Gothic style, it has a very simple façade, with an Istrian stone portal and the Saint’s statue on top of it.
Very important for the church is the “barco”, such as a hanging choir used only by nuns, hidden behind a wrought iron grating.
“Coronation with spines, flagellation and the hike on Calvary Mountain” is the most important painting of the building, realized by Tintoretto; the roof was decorated by Pietro Antonio torri and Pietro Ricchi during XVII century.
